When used in conjunction with typical sanitation systems, an ultraviolet system helps keep your swimming pool water free from harmful bacteria.

UV generators can be retrofit into existing commercial pools, and are a great addition to new pool construction projects. Installed near the pool’s filter, water is exposed to UV light and sterilized as it passes through. This is a simple, hassle-free way to remove pathogens and contaminents from water. UV light systems are safer and more efficient than using additional chemicals, and because these systems use very little electricity, they can also have a big impact on your bottom line.

Streamline Aquatics provides both low pressure and medium pressure UV systems, both of which effectively kill microorganisms and reducing monochloramines. 

• Low Pressure UV Systems provide UV output almost entirely at a wavelength of 254 nm. Low-pressure systems use less energy and therefore cost less to operate.
• Medium Pressure UV Systems provide UV output over a wider range of wavelengths. In addition to monochloramines, these systems also reduce dichlorimines and trichlorimines, therefore reducing equipment corrosion and minimizing the smell of chloramines.
